Will it ever not be weird to see celebrities wearing ballgowns on their couches? If the Grammys 2021 red carpet is any indication…nope! But also, virtual “red carpets” are still proving to be fun—if not somehow more entertaining—as stars don’t have to worry about the usual awkward small talk with fashion correspondents or the constraints of commuting in massive ballgowns. Then again, it’s not like that ever stopped anyone on the Grammys red carpet from going over the top. Lady Gaga’s egg ring a bell?
Speaking of going over the top, plenty of singers made the most of their freedom to get ready in the comforts of their own homes—and the few who did hit the carpet, like Megan Thee Stallion and Phoebe Bridgers, didn’t hold back on turning it out.
