Reports of drama in the royal family have been running rampant as of late. Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton supposedly “couldn’t be further apart,” Prince Harry and Prince William reportedly did not part on good terms, and Middleton misses Prince Harry. Something is clearly not right in Kensington Palace. But we haven’t heard much about how the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are coping as a pair. Apparently, these new changes have actually brought the couple “closer together.”
“The Cambridges are busier than ever since Harry and Meghan left the U.K.,” a source told Us Weekly. “You’d think their hectic schedule would put [a] strain on the marriage, but it’s actually brought them closer together. Working as a team and supporting each other is essential at a time like this, and that’s exactly what they’re doing.”
This is good news considering Middleton was reportedly “in a panic” over the new state of things. Since Prince Harry and Markle stepped back from their royal duties, Middleton has reportedly been working 18-hour days on top of her role as a mother of three.
“Kate’s in a panic and has been having bouts of anxiety,” a source told Us Weekly back in January. “She barely has time to rest, and when she does try to sleep, her mind is constantly racing.”
It seems Prince William is trying to help. On February 4, he and Middleton were all smiles during a royal engagement in Mumbles, on the southern coast of Wales, where they went for a treat at Joe’s Ice Cream Parlour.
Look how happy Kate looks!
According to People, when a woman shouted to William that 4-year-old Princess Charlotte was her favorite, the duke replied, “Yes, she is lovely—just like my wife.” Awww!
“They look after each other but in different ways,” a source told People. “Some people might say it’s an old-fashioned marriage, but it seems to work. They have different roles, but they come together as a team.”
Hopefully, Kate Middleton and Prince William have some R&R in their future, though. They deserve it!
