Billie Eilish’s performance at the Grammys 2021 was so good, Harry Styles stopped and stared.
The 19-year-old pop star did a beautiful rendition of her song, “everything I wanted,” nominated for Record of the Year. Check out a clip of it, below:
We are all Harry Styles here.
Eilish stood on the roof of what looked like a collapsed vintage car, glittering in a headpiece that looked like dozens of eyeballs, but like, in a cool way. She was accompanied by her brother and longtime collaborator, Finneas. Fellow performers Styles and the band Haim watched from the Grammys stage. Did Eilish and Styles coordinate their mossy-green accent pieces? It’s not impossible!
After her performance—which sounded, as always, exceptionally melodic and resonant—Styles put his fingers in his mouth and whistled. Which was, frankly, its own watchable performance.
Eilish will be walking away with statuettes, no matter what else happens during the show show—earlier in the evening she and Finneas won the award for best visual-media song award for “No Time to Die,” her James Bond anthem.
Billie Eilish’s Grammy 2021 performance is coming a year after she swept the show’s major categories. In early 2020, pre-pandemic, Eilish took home five Grammys: Best New Artist, Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year. She’s the first female and youngest artist to sweep all the major categories at the Grammys.
