Hong Kong model Abby Choi body parts found in fridge former in-laws accused of murder.

Hong Kong police have filed murder charges against the former father-in-law and brother-in-law of model and influencer Abby Choi, whose body parts were found in a refrigerator and her skull in a pot at a villager's home.

Hong Kong Superintendent Alan Chung said authorities had also arrested Abby Choi's ex-husband on Saturday.

Police said in a statement they were going to bring three family members, including Choi's ex-father-in-law and his eldest son, to court on Monday, while her ex-mother-in-law was charged with perverting the course of justice.

Chung reported that Choi had financial disputes involving tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars with her ex-husband and his family.

Choi was a model and influencer who shared her glamorous life of photo shoots and fashion shows with over 1 lakh followers on Instagram.

Choi, who had been missing from home for several days, was found by the police on Friday along with her mutilated body and several documents.  His remains were stored in a refrigerator at a house in Tai Po village, a suburban part of Hong Kong.

At a Sunday news briefing, Chung said the skull of a young woman believed to be Choi's was found along with human ribs, hair and tissue in one of the cooking utensils seized by authorities.  He said forensic pathologists found a small number of human bones in a second vessel.

"There is a hole on the right side of the back of the skull, so pathologists believe it must have been a fatal attack on the victim," he said.

Chung said that Choi was attacked in a car and was unconscious when she arrived home.  Police are still trying to ascertain the exact time of death and trace his hands and torso.

On Sunday, police also arrested another woman who is believed to have links with her ex-husband's father for allegedly assisting other suspects.  Chung said the woman had rented a house with her father, as well as another place to hide her ex-husband.

Abby Choi was 28 years old and is a prominent model and influencer from Hong Kong who has found success in the West and has appeared at Paris Fashion Week.

Abby Choi has appeared on the magazine cover of L'Officiel Monaco.  Choi has over 100,000 followers on Instagram to date.  On Instagram, he has written the status that "Embrace every moment of life".

Hongkong model Abby Choi married Alex Kwong in 2012 at the age of 18, with whom she had two children.  Two years later she had a second daughter but later got divorced with Alex Quang.  

Both children are now being looked after by Choi's mother.
