Jerick Roman Hoffer Jinkx Monsoon Will Sing About Tits and Tats on Broadway

According to Entertainment Weekly, Jerick Roman Hoffer Jinkx Monsoon, a two-time RuPaul's Drag Race winner, will make her Broadway debut in Chicago for an eight-week run starting January 16.  where she will play Mama Morton, portrayed by Queen Latifah in the film adaptation, and sing the title song of the Broadway classic When You're Good to Mama.

It's been a lifelong dream come true to make my Broadway debut and then some, in what I consider to be my favorite role, in one of my favorite shows, Jinx told Entertainment Weekly.  The first number I ever performed in drag was 'All That Jazz', so it almost feels very serious.  But, I never question my blessings, I just thank Heckett for them." Jinx is entering the role after her win on the all-winner season of RuPaul's Drag Race: All Stars.  Since his first winning season of Race, season five, Jinx has starred in his own Christmas cabaret show for Hulu with fellow queen BenDeLaCreme, performed in a troupe of drag-based theatre, and regularly  has fulfilled his wish of being on Broadway, so Queen fans, it's a momentous day. We'll be warming up for you, Jinx.

Jerrick Roman Hoffer, better known by the stage name Jinx Monsoon, is an American drag performer, actor, comedian, and singer, best known for winning the fifth season of RuPaul's Drag Race and the seventh season of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.  Known to have become the first person to do so.

Jeric Hoffer was born in Portland, Oregon, and first performed in drag at the age of 15 at the Escape nightclub.  He attended Da Vinci Arts Middle School and Grant High School. Hoffer worked as a conservator through college and graduated from Cornish College of the Arts in 2010 with a BFA in Theatre.
