Fans Are Praising the Way Keanu Reeves Takes Photos With Women

We are living in the summer of Keanu Reeves—and that’s a very good thing. Onscreen, he’s crushing it with his action star moves in John Wick 3: Parabellum, a flat-out hilarious send-up of himself in Netflix’s Always Be My Maybe, and a role in the upcoming Toy Story 4. He’s also winning over hearts and minds with thoughtful interviews and all-around great guy vibes.

The latest bit of Internet praise for the star comes after a tweet went viral showing that Reeves employs a particular technique when taking photos with women. In the poses featured in the tweet, it’s clear that he’s keeping his hands off of the women’s backs—which, to be fair, should be the respectful, default position for men, especially when posing with women they don’t know well. But as we all know, this isn’t usually the case, so it’s nice to see Keanu Reeves, a person who must have been asked to take thousands of photos with strangers over the years, modeling this type of behavior.

Fans on social media were quick to compliment Reeves. “He’s being respectful and I’m here for it!! ❤️,” one user wrote. Another said, “I’ve seen a couple people comment ‘its sad it has to be like this’, what’s actually sad is the obsession we have with touching women at any given moment. He’s just being respectful of others bodies what a concept.”

At the Toy Story 4 premiere this week, Reeves revealed he had no idea the Internet was so obsessed with him. “That’s, uh, that’s wacky,” the actor said, according to People. “Well, the positivity’s great.”

He also added, “It’s really special how John Wick was embraced, and working on Always Be My Maybe, great, you know. Ali Wong and Randall Park [are] just really wonderful artists and people, and it was really cool to get a chance to play with them.”
