Here’s How Liam Hemsworth Knew It Was Time to Propose to Miley Cyrus

Lately everyone is obsessed with Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth—and honestly, we can’t blame ’em. From the couple’s impromptu living room wedding in December to Miley’s adorable happy birthday love letter to Liam, it’s obvious that they’re full-on head over heels in love with each other. And during an interview with the Today show, published on Friday (but airing on Sunday), Hemsworth opened up about the moment he knew it was time to propose—again—to Cyrus.

“We’ve been through so much together over the last 10 years, so [I] felt like it was time,” he said in the interview. “I feel really happy and really fortunate to be with such a great person.”

But the couple we know and love to love almost didn’t happen—because they almost didn’t meet in the first place, Hemsworth said. He shared the crazy story of getting cast at the very last second for the movie adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ The Last Song, where he ultimately met and starred alongside Miley, who played rebel teenager Ronnie Miller.

The Australian native, whose three-month visa was expiring at the time, wasn’t originally cast for the part of Will Blakelee. But as fate would have it, it didn’t work out for the other actor. “My agent calls me like, whispering, like ‘You’ve got to go to Disney right now. It’s not working out with the other guy,” he said. “You’ve got to go in and read with Miley again’…I come in and everyone starts clapping like, ‘We should have gone with you first!'”

The now-newlyweds eventually fell hard for each other, just like their on-screen characters. I mean, just look at this clip Hemsworth posted on Friday.

“It’s sort of weird how it all comes together, and then 10 years later I’m here, married,” Hemsworth said.

Just further proof that fate is a very strange and wonderful thing.

The Weeknd and Bella Hadid Wore Matching Camo Outfits to His Birthday Party

Couples that dress alike definitely give off a certain “truly committed” vibe—both to each other and to their looks. Case in point, this roundup of celebrity twosomes who are known for doing just that. Now, our files have just grown by one more entry: Bella Hadid and Abel Tesfaye, a.k.a. The Weeknd, wore virtually the same outfit for his recent birthday party, and it’s a whole thing.

A little background: Hadid and The Weeknd have been in an on-and-off relationship since 2015. After sharing a post-breakup moment on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway in November 2016, the couple were seen kissing at Coachella in April a few months later. They seem to have been together since and now reportedly share a $60,000-per-month Tribeca apartment.

If we’ve learned anything about them during this dating rollercoaster, it’s that they’re way into celebrating each other’s birthdays. Last October Hadid and the Weeknd were seen out and about on her 22nd birthday in New York City drinking Champagne, eating macarons at Ladurée in Soho, and dancing the night away at a surprise party.

Following precedent, Hadid pulled out all the stops for the Starboy singer’s 29th birthday last night. After the model gifted him a framed Michael Jackson-themed Mad Magazine cover, they took to the club in matching camouflage outfits.

“[One] minute til my favorite day of the year,” Hadid wrote underneath a photo of her and The Weeknd posing in their similar sets.

The Weeknd chose a camo zip-up jacket and pants with R13’s men stack boot, while Hadid opted for a camo bralette and oversized R13 shearling jacket paired with an olive green skirt, sheer Prada socks, and Timberland-style heels.

The singer, who’s been teasing a fourth album, also showed off the outfits on his ‘gram.

Of course, there were more pre-party pics to be found on Hadid’s Instagram Stories.

And then it was time to roll out:

If you can believe it, there is even more camo in this clip. We sense a theme.

May their coming year be blessed with even more matching looks—we’ll be waiting.

Jennifer Lopez Gave A-Rod a $24,000 Valentine’s Day Gift

After two years of dating, Jennifer Lopez and former baseball player Alex Rodriguez are still going strong.

The pair, who just celebrated their second anniversary on February 3, haven’t completely ruled out marriage, but they aren’t forcing an engagement on themselves either. They seem totally happy going at their own pace, despite pressure from their fans.

But it didn’t stop talk show host Ellen DeGeneres from giving J.Lo her two cents on the matter recently when the singer popped by her show. DeGeneres let her thoughts on their relationship known with a very Ellen, very over-the-top gesture: a massive clock with A-Rod’s face on it. “It’s basically to remind him that time is ticking and he should hurry up and propose—or you should propose,” she said.

On to Valentine’s Day, where in related news, another timepiece was gifted—this time from Lopez to A-Rod. And we’re just guesstimating here, but we have a feeling it was a little more expensive than DeGeneres’ gift. She gave her boyfriend a blue and silver Audemars Piguet Royal Oak chronograph watch. According to Page Six, the new arm candy is worth a whopping $24,000.

Given the two’s penchant for dressing alike, we’re just wondering if J.Lo splashed out on an equally fancy timepiece for herself, too.

Lifetime’s New Movie About Olivia Newton-John Will Remind You That She Is the Best

How’s this for a meet-cute: Some 25 years ago, seven-year-old Delta Goodrem was visiting New York from her native Australia when her idol, fellow Aussie Olivia Newton-John, walked in to the same restaurant. “I was like, ‘It’s Sandy, it’s Sandy!'” Goodrem says of the iconic actress from Grease. “Olivia heard my Australian accent and walked over to ask why we were in New York. She was so sweet and said, ‘I hope I see you around tomorrow,’ so the next day I looked around the entire city trying to find her again. I did not.”

All Goodrem had to do was wait another 11 years, when Newton-John became a fan of Goodrem’s singing and acting, and sent her a letter. But it wasn’t just any letter of appreciation: Newton-John, a two-time cancer survivor who is now battling the disease for a third time, found out that Goodrem was battling cancer as well. “She said that one day I’ll understand this is a gift to give strength to people,” Goodrem says of her Hodgkin’s disease diagnosis when she was 18. “As time went on, she became my mentor, friend, and greatest influence.” In fact, in 2008 the two collaborated by writing and recording a song called “Right Here With You.”

And now, Goodrem will play the legend in Lifetime’s new television movie, Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You, airing Saturday night, February 16. “It’s full circle,” Goodrem tells Glamour. “It’s beyond special.”

Goodrem, who has developed quite the fan following in Australia, says she only recently told Newton-John about their first meeting in New York City all those years ago. “We were doing a gala together for her charity, and I told the story to the entire ballroom,” she says. “I talked about the impact that moment had, and now when I see young kids, I always think of [Olivia coming up to me]. and I approach [others] rather than sit back.”

She takes the same approach in the new Lifetime movie, which required her to portray Newton-John over more than five decades. “My first day on set was filming [the music video for] ‘Let’s Get Physical,’ and the crew was all dressed up in headbands,” Goodrem says. “I thought, ‘Oh my God, what a way to start this project!’ And then my last day on set was the scenes during Grease, so that was really fun.”

Goodrem says she can’t help but examine every little detail of her performance, but overall she’s thrilled with the final product: “I’m really proud of it, and I can’t wait for people to watch it.” However, for the moment, at least, Newton-John won’t be one of those people. “I sent her footage throughout, and she’d be like, ‘Stop it! Stop it!'” Goodrem says, laughing. “She said she wants to watch [the finished version] in her own time so she can step back and have her own moment with it.”

But for all the Newton-John fans who do watch, Goodrem hopes the movie reminds them of their idol’s strength through good times and bad. “There’s only one Olivia Newton-John, and she’s a beautiful, unique, one-of-a-kind person,” Goodrem says. “She’s a reminder that it’s cool to be kind, and strength comes in many forms. No one can rock those Grease pants like her.”

Olivia Newton-John: Hopelessly Devoted to You airs Saturday, February 16 on Lifetime.

Tie Dye Trend Spring 2019: Best Pieces To Buy

As soon as you bring up spring trends, you’re inevitably met with: “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.” The quote is iconic for a reason, and not just because of Meryl Streep’s iconic delivery. Florals are pretty much always featured in spring/summer collections. And yes, they’re great. But sometimes your wardrobe needs a little something else. It seems designers have, too, been feeling the floral fatigue, and have started introducing a print that’s a little more unexpected—and a lot more nostalgic.

Tie-dye occupies a very specific space in the “throwback trend” conversation: Like pearl hairpins and prairie dresses, it brings shoppers back to simpler times—summer camp, arts and crafts, pure unadulterated fun. And sometimes, dressing like you did in your happiest memories can feel comforting. This runway resurgence looks a lot different than how you might remember the dye jobs from grade school, though.

For both Spring and Fall 2019, designers at Fashion Week have translated this print onto puffer jackets (at Maryam Nassir Zadeh), mini skirts (Area), leggings (Collina Strada), turtlenecks (Proenza Schouler), and denim (Eckhaus Latta)—a bold graphic to stand out against basics like black skirts and T-shirts. Influencers have taken that cue and started incorporating tie-dye into their street-style outfits, layering colorful tops under suits or doubling up on the pattern with a tie-dye sweatshirt and skirt. More affordable brands, like Topshop and Free People, have also started releasing their own takes on this childhood staple. And with celebrities like Beyoncé, Miley Cyrus, and Selena Gomez embracing its comeback, tie-dye might be the spring trend that dethrones pastels—this year, at least.

The Coolest Hair Accessory Ideas for Spring 2019

Two of the biggest trends in fashion right now couldn’t be more disparate. On one hand you have powerful congresswoman co-opting the suit look from the boys, wearing all white pantsuits to events like the State of the Union as a symbolic testament to the suffrage movement, and on the other you also have powerful everyday women wearing as many pearl hairpins along their hairline as humanly possible. And although the prevalence of girlish hair accessories isn’t nearly as symbolic as something like a white pantsuit, there’s something about it that feels equally as perverse. Why leave all the fun extra feminine hair poufs and headbands for little girls? Strong women can wear bows! And say what you will about Blair Waldorf but she was a badass bitch who didn’t let a headband downplay her tough exterior.

It’s hard to pinpoint when exactly hair accessories started trending, but they’ve been having a renaissance for about the past year or so. It started innocently with some scrunchies from Mansur Gavriel and quickly escalated with a $400 crystal Gucci hair clip that took over Instagram. It wasn’t long until everyone started realizing they didn’t need to spend hundreds to adorn their ponytail. Barrettes, scrunchies, and headbands were after all an essential part of every middle schooler’s wardrobe. But if you didn’t happen to hold onto all your old butterfly clips, don’t despair, there are literally hundreds of options online now from handmade hair clips on Etsy to a more luxurious Simone Rocha pearled bow. 11 Biggest Fall 2019 Trends From New York Fashion Week

Fashion Week always comes at a time when we’re in need for a wardrobe jump-start. Whether it’s the spring shows in September or the fall ones in February, the new collections hit right as we’re looking for fresh ideas and inspiration, to either plan ahead for or start wearing now. The Fall 2019 runways in New York offered plenty of fodder for both—a mix of styling tricks that can be fashioned out of things already in your closet (like head-to-toe monochrome and double bags) and statement pieces you might want to think about investing in (brown leather versus classic black or a deconstructed approach to suiting.)

We’ve surveyed all the newness from the Michael Kors’ to the Veronica Beard’s of Fashion Week to bring you the 11 trends we predict will be inescapable come autumn—and maybe even sooner. Read up on the best from Fall 2019, ahead.

Chrissy Teigen Just Roasted Kim Kardashian for Her Extravagant Valentine’s Day Present

Kanye West pulled out all the stops for Valentine’s Day this year, gifting Kim Kardashian with a surprise live performance by Kenny G in their house. The setup was romantic: West placed several rose vases on the floor and centered Kenny G in the middle, where he played some tunes on the saxophone.

But Twitter quickly noticed something was off about the display. If Kenny G was in the middle of the room surrounded by glass vases, how would he eventually get out? The joke that he was somehow trapped in the Kardashian-West house quickly caught on, with even Chrissy Teigen chiming in.

“Did Kenny have to stand there while the flowers were being set up? How did he get out? we need more info on Kenny,” the Cravings author tweeted shortly after Kardashian shared a video of her surprise. I can’t!

See her A+ tweet for yourself, below:

“Kanye West’s gift to [Kim Kardashian] was to capture Kenny G and hold him in a room of their house. He is forbidden from taking breaks and must remain standing, playing his romantic sax. If even a single vase of roses is overturned, an alarm will sound,” one person joked on Twitter. “Kenny G is 100% trapped in the Kardashian/West house and is sending out an SOS with this video,” wrote someone else.

Check out some more reactions from people on this hilarious train:

Is Kenny G OK? Someone needs to check on his ASAP.

Chrissy Teigen didn’t share much about her own Valentine’s Day plans, but Kardashian and West posted theirs all over social media. “Happy Valentines Day babe!!! I love you so much ,” Kardashian wrote on Instagram to West alongside some throwback photos.

“He really is the most romantic, sweetest person I’ve ever met in my entire life,” she also said about her rapper husband back in 2013.
